The most common legal forms are the GmbH (limited liability company) and the AG (stock corporation). The GmbH is particularly suitable for small and medium-sized enterprises with a share capital starting from CHF 20,000. The AG is intended for larger ventures and requires a share capital of at least CHF 100,000, of which at least CHF 50,000 must be paid in.
